The Breathing for Life Trial is a randomised trial of a new asthma management strategy which reduces asthma attacks among pregnant women. The trial aims to demonstrate that this strategy also improves outcomes for the newborn baby, and has long lasting benefits into childhood.

The trial will be recruiting pregnant women with asthma from Newcastle's John Hunter Hospital, The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and three Sydney hospitals: Royal North Shore Hospital, Royal Hospital for Women Randwick and Nepean Hospital.
